Welcome to NIE!
Newspapers in Education (NIE) - is an exciting interactive program that engages students in learning by providing them with daily copies of the Times Record News. Through NIE, teachers use the newspaper to enhance lesson plans, enliven classroom discussions, and to help develop lifelong reading habits in students. It's a great resouce in bridging the gap between traditional textbooks and the real world helping students meet the challenges of the future.
Go Green with the TRN e-NIE
The Times Record News has gone green in 2009 with the introduction of its e-Edition. The TRN NIE e-Edition (e-NIE) is an exact replica of the Times Record News. Students can log onto any computer with Internet access and flip through pages and skim headlines, just as they would with the traditional newspaper. To get more details about the exciting new e-Edition click here to send us an email or call Rick Carlson at 940-720-3451.
NIE Seminar with Leonard Breen
This seminar has been edited down to smaller videos for your viewing convenience. Also, due to the fact Dr. Breen turned his mic off occassionally, you may have to turn your volume up to hear more clearly.
