Joe Clement, Wichita Falls
My letter is in response to a recent letter entitled “Only One God.” I find the letter writer to be a fine Christian gentleman and one who surely will have great rewards in heaven for his service to God on earth, but the fact is there are many gods, but only one true God and that is the God of the Bible.
Even Satan considers himself a god as do many others; but just because one considers himself to be god and may be worshipped by millions simply does not make it so.
The god of the Koran is a false god and his followers part of a false religion, guided by a false doctrine and centered around a false prophet. The Muslims do serve a god, just not the same god Christians serve.
The only words that matter are spoken in the Holy Bible. God says in John 1 2:22 “who is a liar, but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is the Antichrist that denieth the Father and the Son.” Muslims outright deny the sonship of Jesus Christ as evidenced in the Koran. In Women 4:171 the Koran clearly states that god has no son. In sharp contrast the Holy Bible in John 3:16 declares that God does have a son.
Much more could be said but I close with this. If religion were a day, Islam would be the darkness of the darkest night and Christianity the light of a sunny day. Therefore, Islam and Christianity are diametrically opposed. Many gods there are, but “only one true God.”

Hard to believe this great country has a Muslim President and the liberals think hes the greatest thing since pockets on a shirt.
StoneDog writes:
Which country are you referring to? This one isn't great and we don't have a Muslim president.
What's hard to believe is the fact that WF neocons like you and the writer are so ignorant and eat-up with the word.
One god is no better than any other when the people who worship him (or her) are intolerant adherents of a stretching myth.

Thank God (s) this writer does not have a badge. And thank goodness we have Carp who has denied BHO three times before the rooster crows. BHO will rise (in the polls) again by Easter.

All religions have one thing in common. They each think that they own the only way to connect with God. There is a difference in fact and faith. Those who claim to know the truth are confusing the two. No religion is based on fact. But whatever.

Great letter, Joe...I guess many of us are hearing that same heartbeat of God. We serve the one true LIVING God...the breaking of the First Commandment is evident-idoltry is much like the days of old. May God forgive us for putting a lifestyle above Godly principles or a person.
At this point, Obama could come out as a Muslim, or a gay and his voters would say that was not a deal breaker. They would make excuses and allowances. They will place him above the passages in the Bible. If they have felt the true love of God, it would open their eyes to the truth.
I have photos of Obama taking his shoes off and goibg into a mosque to pray. He did that with ease at on 3 ocassions on his first Middle East apology tour. He would have never been allowed to enter in unless they were certain he was one of them. And "yes" our local mosque will allow visitors. BUT, visitors are not allowed to take part in their ritual unless they are Muslim. They have every right to worship their god in America.
I truly believe that it was the intent of our founders to mean "freedom of denomination" (In Christ) ."Religion" was used in it's place back then. There is much evidence that the fathers of this nation deemed America's very foundation as Christian.

Ahh, another day of accomplishing nothing.

" Praising the Lord and keeping Obama from killing babies and forcing my twisted religion on others is not "nothing".

I think you just proved my point C1. Bashing Eagle7 and trying to prove to everyone how "their" point of view is the best one accomplishes nothing. Religion is highly personal and there is no right or wrong to it. It is all open to interpretation. No point in even duplicating yesterdays effort in futility.
By the way, did you know Pernell was back?
Citizen1 writes:
Where is Pernell? Has there been a sighting?
sunny writes:
Yes there has.
See story: "Felony blocks run for office"
on March 20th.
Citizen1 writes:
That proves we have an American God. Thanks
sunny writes:
This is sad. Can't believe what we are doing to "teach" our students.

Sunny , what is the connection between this article and Pernell ?
riceboal writes:
This shows the second amendment is good only to the extent that you follow the party line . Go astray & you are in big trouble, as this right wing site makes clear . If you have an adverse opinion about Israel stealing Palestinian land , you better keep it to yourself . Even a Jew , Mark Siegel was ostracized for a comment .
sunny writes:
There is no connection other than Pernell commented. I was just letting C1 know that Pernell is back and he asked about a sighting of him.
sunny writes:
I feel really bad that you missed my reason for posting this. As far as I am concerned, party affiliation has nothing to do with it. I was upset that to prove a point someone (anyone) asked his students to stomp on a picture of Jesus. That, and only that, is what I find so wrong. Sorry you didn't get that.
By the way riceboal, I would have been just as upset if some college professor would have asked his students to stomp on a picture of Obama. And I really dislike Obama!
riceboal writes:
I apologize Sunny . To me , a piece of paper is just a piece of paper , with no intrinsic value regardless of what is written on it . There are thousands of Mexican men & boys with the name of Jesus . I would have no problem at all in stomping on a sheet of paper with Obama written on it . It is only ink or graphite .
has Pernell re-emerged under another name ?
sunny writes:
Pernell is using the name Pernell. He responded to the story today about water and the story on March 20 about a felony stopping someone from running for office. I actually have missed his twisted sense of humor.
Just out of curiosity, would you also be willing to stomp on a piece of paper that was a copy of the American flag?

riceboal writes:
No Sunny , nor would I stomp on a paper bearing the name Jesus Christ .That is my personal decision ,but the second amendment allows such action .
WFFL writes:
I have no problem with someone asking others to stomp on some paper, and I have no problem with the student refusing. In fact if you look at the curriculum the professor was using, it expects some students to refuse and others to be indifferent. Those reactions would be what spur the classroom conversation.
The mistake was made when the professor demanded compliance. Everyone should have a right to decide what is important for themselves. The student should never have been suspended.
Trapper writes:
Riceboal, I am having trouble finding anything in the second amendment that has anything to do with this issue............... would you please enlighten me?
riceboal writes:
Thanks Trapper , I misspoke due to trauma to my hippocampus I suffered years ago when I received a bad haircut . First amendment . It proves you should not go on memory unless you are smart .
WFFL writes:
The irony would almost be hilarious if it weren't so sad.
