A Wichita County sheriff’s deputy was allegedly attacked by a woman in a Wichita Falls bar.
According to a probable cause affidavit:
A deputy went into the Las Vegas Club at 309 N. Scott Ave. on Feb. 22 to serve a warrant on Leslie Ann Acosta, 43. He found Acosta near the dance floor and asked her to step outside. When she did not comply, the deputy took her by the arm to lead her out.
The woman pulled away, cursed at him, then threw her beer bottle at him, striking with enough force that the bottle broke when it hit the floor.
The stricken officer and another deputy took the woman down to the floor and arrested her.
Because the beer bottle was considered a deadly weapon, Acosta was charged with aggravated assault on a peace officer, a third-degree felony.
Her total bonds, including one related to a drug charge, were set at $30,000, and she was in the Wichita County Jail on Friday.

Lesson to be learned from this: If you're in a bar, been drinking and a law enforcement officer asks you to go with him/her, just GO. Throwing a beer boittle is not a really good idea.
If the City Council does pass a resolution about the liquor license for Las Vegas, when will they do the same for Texas Showgirls?
