Steve Bernhardt, Iowa Park
I feel sorry for all of y’all who live in Wichita Falls.
Stage three water is here! I can’t help but remember the last time there was a water shortage and the city asked for everyone to conserve water.
Enough people did exactly that and the city didn’t get enough money for the low bills so to reward everyone for a job well done they went up on water cost.
I wonder if they ever lowered it back down where it was before all of y’all conserved? Are y’all worried?
I thought of something fun we can all do. We can watch Castaway Cove and Weeks Park golf course and see just how the city deals with stage three water rationing. We really can’t watch Hawk Ridge or Sand Beach.
They couldn’t stay afloat what with the weight of the city of Wichita Falls and all.
What really blew me away was those beautiful stars in the intersections downtown. They were on the news every night showing the progress. The very next news story after the stars every night was the one about having to layoff 121 educators.
But that is old news.
Besides we will never know how many people from Austin or the Metroplex traveled here to see the stars.
You can lead an out-of-towner to the stars but you can’t make ... never mind.
