City View 28, Olney 6

OLNEY — The City View defense held Olney to less than 100 yards as the Mustangs opened 2012 with a 28-6 victory Friday night.

Offensively, four different players scored touchdowns as City View rushed for 249 yards and threw for 50.

Sophomore D.J. Coursey led all players with 135 yards on 23 carries, including a 19-yard touchdown. He also helped the defense by dropping two punts inside the Olney 15-yard line.

Mustangs coach Rudy Hawkins praised the play up front of Tri Hoang and Ryan Ford. But he saw room for improvement as well.

"We played kind of young tonight and put the ball on the ground too much (four fumbles, two lost)," Hawkins said. "But it was a good start, the kids played hard."
