Quanah 45, Wheeler 19

QUANAH — Clay Robertson and the Quanah Indians lit up the sky here Friday night with more than 300 yards passing and four touchdowns en route to a 45-19 blowout against Wheeler.

The Indians (1-0) and the Mustangs (0-1) battled to a scoreless deadlock by the end of the first quarter. The, it was Robertson's time to take over the game.

Robertson hooked up with Craig Miles, Austin Smith twice and Brandon Heard over the next two quarters to put Quanah up 32-12 after the third quarter. The scores includes strikes of 10, 10, 15 and 88 yards. The quarterback finished the night with 305 yards.

Scoring through the air wasn't finished with Robertson as Marcus Leija connected with Austin Williams for a 36-yard score. Michael Brooks topped off the night for Quanah with a 52-yard run.

Smith was the top receiver for the Indians, hauling in five passes for 153 yards and two scores, followed by Williams (86, TD), Herd (66, TD) and Miles (36, TD).
