BOWIE — The Bowie Jackrabbits led 7-0 after one quarter of play, but it was all Pilot Point from that point on as the Bearcats escaped with a 31-17 win Friday night that eliminated the Jackrabbits from playoff contention.

Marcus Vaughan scored twice and Tanner Tomlin provided a field goal to lead the Jackrabbits in scoring. Garland McCoy threw for 94 yards and a score on the night.

Bowie fell to 6-3 on the year and 2-3 in District 5-2A action.
