Wichita Falls has 3 players on AP Class 4-A All-State

Three players from Wichita Falls made the honorable mention list of the 2011 Texas Associated Press Sports Editors' Class 4A all-state high school football team.

Quarterback J.T. Barrett and defensive lineman Dylan McDorman represent Rider High on the team.

Wichita Falls High School wide receiver Chance Garey also was tabbed as honorable mention.

Denton Ryan, the District 4-4A champion, had two first-team picks — defensive lineman Mario Edwards and linebacker Alex De La Torre.

Ryan had six players make honorable mention — offensive linemen Tevin McCray and Jordan Williams, kicker Mark Orozco, defensive lineman Dominique Banks, linebacker Jordan Richmond and defensive back Trey Mohair.

Lake Dallas quarterback Dalyn Williams was a first-team pick.

Johnathan Gray of Aledo was named offensive player of the year with 2,422 rushing yards and 47 touchdowns to go along with 405 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

Dane Balazs of Lake Travis was selected defensive player of the year.
